The advice given by bureaux is free, independent, impartial and confidential. The service is non-judgmental,
offering assistance to everyone who seeks or needs its help, regardless of age, class race, religion, gender,
disability or sexuality. All advice workers are professionally trained to provide an accurate, quality service and
to be supportive to clients.
Equal Opportunities Policies:
The CAB Service is committed to equal opportunities for all, and everyone in the Service must be committed to the CAB's
Equal Opportunities Policies.
The CAB Service Equal Opportunities Policy covers the whole Service and embraces specific policies on disabled people,
black people and ethnic minorities, women, lesbians and gay men, Irish people, and people living with HIV/AIDS. This
policy aims to ensure that people facing discrimination feel welcome within the CAB Service and able to use its
services.
The Equal Opportunities in Employment Policy relates specifically to CAB staff. The CAB is also committed to taking
positive action to implement equal opportunities for people facing discrimination and ensuring that the CAB workforce
is representative of the whole community.
